Although John Cleese’s character “Nearly Headless Nick” was largely overlooked in the Harry Potter films, those who did notice his amusing portrayal of the Gryffindor ghost found it entertaining. When he tried but failed to join the Headless Hunt, it was especially amusing. John Cleese co-founded the surreal comedy troupe Monty Python in real life. He appeared in Monty Python’s Flying Circus, three Monty Python films, and the hugely popular Fawlty Towers series.

Despite not being the most popular character in the series, Andy Linden made the most of the limited screen time he was given by portraying Mundungus Fletcher’s powerful influence in the plot. His acting career started in the mid-1990s, and he is still working today. Oliver Twist, Stella, Count Arthur Strong, The Visitor, Not Going Out, and many others are among the films and television shows on which he has worked.
