Joy-Ann Reid decided to continue to reach for her visions, even after difficult situations and personal experiences in her early childhood. Orphaned at the early age of 17, she returned from Colorado to the East Coast and decided to enroll at Harvard University.

Rehberger is a 1993 graduate of both Hobart as well as William Smith Colleges and served in Orlando and Oklahoma City as a co-anchor for stations. Throughout 2003, she decided to join MSNBC and continued to serve as a reporter, producer, as well as and anchor for a few programs on the network.
