Hot Dogs That Come In Jars
The stereotype about Americans is that they eat hot dogs constantly. In France, hot dogs with the “American-style” label typically come in jars. This probably sounds strange to you as most dogs in the United States are not packed like that. When you are craving a taste of home during your trip, there is no need to be confused by the hot dogs in some liquid in a jar. If this does not appeal to you, at least take this opportunity to explore the local cuisine. This is part of the travel experience, after all.
Gloves To Get Fruits And Veggies
In the United States, it is normal to pick up your fresh produce at the store. You only need to get what you want, put them in a plastic bag, and pay for the products. This is not the way to go in Italy, where it is common to wear gloves. You are going to find disposable ones close to the produce aisle. Avoid looking like a tourist by slipping them on before you touch the fruits and vegetables on offer. Trust us, you would rather not risk angering locals when you are in Italy. When in Rome, do as the Romans do!
