Random Jaw Bones
Some artifacts discovered in sewers, understandably, cannot be recognized, no matter how much time is spent inspecting and researching them. That was the situation with the mystery jaw bone discovered in Canadian sewage in 2009. The bone might have come from any of a variety of herbivorous species. Bone finds in Canada aren’t as surprising since the area is known to have a higher-than-average distribution of dinosaur bones. Finding a bone in a finished tunnel, on the other hand, is more uncommon.

Toy Soldiers
“Life imitates art,” as the cliché goes. Workers in Scotland found themselves in a situation like a scene from Toy Story. Back in 2010, a crew of employees treated sewage when they discovered an entire battalion of toy soldiers. After the toys were cleaned, they were hung on a plaque and displayed on the office wall for many years. While the youngster who lost the toys did not have a happy ending, we’re sure it brightened the employees’ day!
