While they were casting for The Sopranos, he was one of the top choices by the execs. He ended up turning down the role of Tony Soprano, who James Gandolfini ultimately played. His performance has since become known as one of the greatest in the history of TV.
Henry Winkler – Grease
These days, Grease is seen as a classic. John Travolta has become a household name for the way he played Danny Zuko in it. Before he was cast, however, Henry Winkler could have taken on the role instead. He ended up declining it as he did not want to be typecast. For the longest time, he was Fonz on Happy Days. He went on to star in The Only instead but has expressed regret about turning down the musical role.
