Burt Reynolds – On Her Majesty’s Secret Service
We know just how unbelievable it is to imagine Burt Reynolds in the role of James Bond. He was running for the part while they were casting around for On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Sadly, he turned it down since he did not think that an American could bring justice to the role. He ended up working on Western movies like 100 Rifles instead. The actor later said, “I spent the entire time refereeing fights between Jim Brown and Raquel Welch.”
John Travolta – Forrest Gump
Is there a more famous and quotable movie than Forrest Gump? We doubt it. This was the top-grossing movie in 1994. Aside from that, Tom Hanks also won the Best Actor at the Oscars for this role. We find it hard to imagine John Travolta in this role, but it was possible. He only turned it down to be in Pulp Fiction instead. Both are great roles, but we will let you pick which one is better.
