It appears as though this strange discovery marks the start of a horror film. One of Pat and Diane Farla’s guests at their Good Friday celebration in Shropshire, England, finally chose to peek behind the six-foot-long rectangular plate hanging on their wall. Unbelievably, in the three years they had owned the house, they had never looked behind that. They found a hole that led to a little underground chapel after removing the plate. There were pews and a cross on the cellar-like structure, indicating that it was a religious structure. Authorities surmise that during one of the numerous religious battles that raged in England centuries ago, congregations fleeing religious persecution may have used this underground chapel.

Using ground penetrating radar, a group of archaeologists found something strange buried on a Norwegian farm. They discovered that a ship that belonged to the Viking or Merovingian eras was submerged beneath the icy surface of the planet. The depth of the ship’s burial was barely two feet. The archaeology team was there for a completely other mission, and they essentially discovered this ship by accident. It was a portion of a 1,000-year-old burial mound.
