Alanis Morissette, the Canadian-American singer-songwriter who rose to fame in the 1990s with hits like “You Oughta Know” and “Ironic,” has a twin brother named Wade who is every bit as accomplished as she is. Alanis Morissette was born in Canada and raised in the United States. Wade developed an early interest in music and went on to record several albums of his own, including one titled Sargam Scales of Music, which contained songs that were a mix of folk-rock music with Sanskrit and English chants. Wade is also a songwriter and producer. Wade is not only a musician, but he is also an author and a yoga instructor, among other things. The siblings are extremely supportive of one another, and Alanis even endorsed her brother’s yoga book, referring to it as “one of her favorites,” on her blog. Nonetheless, the sweetest expression of devotion between the two occurred when Alanis chose to commemorate her brother by giving birth to a son named Ever Imre in his honor.
