Valerie Bertinelli rose to fame on sitcoms such as “Touched by an Angel.” She began her career with guest roles on television shows before becoming well-known as Barbara Cooper Royer in “One Day at a Time.” She was nominated for three Primetime Emmys and a Golden Globe Award for her performance. Bertinelli went on to star in her own reality show and write three cookbooks. She finally received a well-deserved star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2018. She even won two Primetime Emmys for her role as Colleen McMurphy in “China Beach.” Nonetheless, her most memorable role was Dr. Katharine Mayfair on “Desperate Housewives,” which she performed for four seasons. Delany is also an accomplished voice actress, having played Lois Lane in the animated series “Superman.” The celebrity, who has never married and has no children, is a vocal supporter of women’s rights and environmental causes.
