Joyce DeWitt, 74 – Janet Wood from Three’s Company
Joyce DeWitt is best remembered for her role as Janet Wood in the 1977-1984 ABC sitcom “Three’s Company.” She and her co-stars (John Ritter and Suzanne Somers) immediately became well-known, particularly for their wonderfully uncomfortable physical comedy. DeWitt, once regarded as America’s sweetheart, rose to prominence when the show remained in the Nielsen Top 10 ratings for five consecutive seasons. Even after the show ended, she continued to appear on television and in theater productions, such as “The Odd Couple.” In 2023, she even appeared in The Davisson Brothers Band’s “Home” music video.
Lynda Carter, 71 – Diana Prince from Wonder Woman
Lynda Carter is a legendary performer and household name. She rose to prominence in the 1970s as Wonder Woman in the TV series of the same name, which cemented her status as an icon. Miss World America 1972 used her platform to advocate for equal rights on behalf of the American Red Cross and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). Carter married businessman Robert Altman in 1984, and he died in 2021. Despite the passage of time, she remains passionate about her work, having released a song named “Human and Divine” in April 2023. In June, Carter released “Red, White, and Blue,” his follow-up album.
