Mary Gleason died on June 2, 2, at 70 years of age. While you do not know her name, you’ve seen her several times. You can recognize her face and attitude. Her acting list is lengthy, but she was outstanding in French tutor Saved by the Whistle, theatrical costumer Madame Ous and ladies’ man Lucille, and an extra on HBO’s Sex and the City and housekeeper on the show Insomnia. While she appeared in movies such as Cinderella Man, Unbearable Force, and Pronounce, she is most well known for playing an anonymous maid in Arthur Miller’s The Crucible.
