Nancy Kerrigan
Nancy Ann Kerrigan is a former figure skater who won medals at the World Championships and the Winter Olympics. In 1993, she was the US National Figure Skating Champion. Sadly, she was the victim of an attack that her rival Tonya Harding orchestrated. A police baton was used by an assailant to strike Kerrigan, and he hit her landing knee. Apparently, this attack was done to stop her from performing at the 1994 US Figure Skating Championships.

After she studied business at Emmanuel College, Nancy Kerrigan established the Nancy Kerrigan Foundation. It aims to increase awareness for the visually impaired. Nancy’s mother is legally blind, and this likely influenced the Olympic medalist’s decision to create the foundation. In 1995, she tied the knot with her agent Jerry Solomon. They are parents to three children. After her Olympic skating career, she turned pro. She performed on several ice shows, including Champions on Ice.
