Daryl Hannah’s onscreen debut was through the Brian De Palma horror film The Fury, which was released in 1978. She then went on to become a 1980s “it” girl and starred in moves like the 1982 thriller Bladerunner, the 1984 rom-com Splash (co-starring Tom Hanks), and the 1989 comedy-drama Steel Magnolias.
