Moments later, panic swept the room as the man struggled to breathe, and they quickly discovered his lung had collapsed. Dr. Brown inserted a chest tube to restore it, but he lost consciousness again. Once his vitals steadied, she exhaled heavily and instructed the nurse, “Keep a close watch on him.”
