As they made their way to their source, they could hear that they grew louder and stronger. And though they didn’t know what they could see, they kept walking. It sounded like a growling dog, so they felt the need to investigate. They were deep in the forests, and there were a lot of chances to play.

Around 3:30 p.m. that day, Kaydon Leach has officially been found about 22 hours after he disappeared. As they spotted him, they also saw what was going to make the crying sound. It was his black and white terrier, Chula! “The dog groaned at the rescuers as they approached Kaydon, so the dog is a protector,” said BCSO Deputy Chief Jeff French. Chula did her best to keep Kaydon safe for the whole night they spent in the woods.
