Jami Gertz Played Star
As the only female member of the pack, Star, portrayed by Jami Gertz, was the key in getting Michael to join the Lost Boys. Even before filming began, the actors’ influence on each other was fittingly similar, though their roles were reversed in real life. Gertz had worked together with Patric previously, and he was actually the one who encouraged her to audition for the movie. So, we have Patric to thank for that.

Gertz’s screen presence also wowed Schumacher so much that he tweaked his original plans for Star to fit Gertz’s look. Even though the actress was impressed in The Lost Boys and other films such as Twister, she eventually decided to step back from the film industry. As a matter of fact, she started playing in a totally different court altogether. Everyone was surprised, for sure.
