When you’re a Hollywood legend, you can’t avoid probing inquiries, and no one knows this better than George Clooney. On the promotional tour for his latest film Tomorrowland, in which he co-starred with children, the 54-year-old actor was asked about his life outside of Hollywood and whether the pair planned to extend their family. “I don’t really [consider it].” “I mean, I’ve thought about it, but it’s not at the top of my list,” he told CBS. These two powerhouses were plainly busy individuals with a lot more on their thoughts than children.

Life had always been about much more than Hollywood or children for the Clooneys. While he may have started his career as an actor, since meeting Amal, George has pushed heavily on his humanitarian activities, which have become just as essential to him as performing. According to their website, George and Amal founded the Clooney Foundation for Justice in 2016, a collaborative endeavor with the purpose of “creating a world where human rights are protected and no one is above the law.” They were able to create schools for refugees, donate to disaster relief money, and oppose hate groups through the CFJ. This organization became their child.
