Pak Ta

Production company: Ilyushin Special feature: 80-ton cargo capacity Estimated production cost: 3.35 million euros per unit* The Russian military transport aircraft moves on to the next generation with the Pak Ta, or Ilyushin Il-106 Slon. The special feature of this machine is that it can be refueled in flight, and can carry up to 80 tons of cargo over several thousand kilometers. Powered by four PD-35 engines from Aviadvigatel, which are still under development, this machine is very promising. The research phase ended in December 2020, so the project is now in the construction phase. First flight is scheduled between 2024 and 2026
