Roger returned with a thin folder and placed it on the table, calmly explaining that it contained court-stamped documents, dates, and his original petition. Greg reviewed the contents carefully and confirmed they were legitimate. He looked at me and said that if I confronted Jacob, I needed to bring both the letters and the court records. I asked Roger if he would stand with me, and he agreed without hesitation. Greg reminded us to document everything Jacob said, stressing accuracy and clarity. We photographed every page in the folder, making sure nothing could disappear again. Greg immediately sent copies to both of us, calling them backups. Roger carefully sealed the originals in a plastic sleeve, determined not to let them be taken or destroyed. I sent Laura a brief message asking her to be home when we arrived. Greg checked the time and urged us to leave before traffic worsened. The drive back was silent, filled only with road noise and the GPS.
