In 1989, Courtney Love rose to fame for being the frontwoman of the band Hole, whose first three albums were quite successful. She was briefly married to Nirvana lead singer Kurt Cobain, who passed away in 1992. Their daughter is now 28 years old. She played supporting roles in the 1986 film Sid and Nancy and the 1987 movie Straight to Hell before forming her band. In 1995, Love went back to acting, and was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for her performance in the 1996 film The People vs. Larry Flynt.

Love continued to act in the early 2000s, and she appeared in big-budget films like Man on the Moon and Trapped. She released her first solo album titled “America’s Sweetheart” in 2004. In 2020, she confirmed that she was making new music. She was named “one of the most influential singers in alternative culture of the last 30 years” by NME in the same year. Love has also co-written three volumes of the manga “Princess Ai” and in 2006, she published her memoir titled “Dirty Blonde: The Diaries of Courtney Love.”
