In 1994, Claire Danes entered the scene through quirky but wildly popular teen drama series My So Called Life, where she played the lead character Angela. The show may have only run for one season, but Danes’ talent shone through. Her performance earned her a Golden Globe for Best Actress and she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award. In 1996, she starred in Laz Buhrmann’s Romeo & Juliet, opposite Leonard DiCaprio. The film has become one of the iconic movies of the ’90s.

She is married to Hugh Dancy and they have two children.
